Sandhills Bogeys Partner with Boy and Girls Club of the Sandhills
The Sandhills Bogeys are proud to announce their newest partner, the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills. The partnership will allow the Bogeys to help raise funds for the club and help kids learn more about the game of baseball.
Boys and Girls Club members can attend the Sandhills Bogeys baseball camps this summer at no charge. The Bogeys will also provide equipment to the kids who need it.
"The Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills is thrilled to partner with the Sandhills Bogeys, furthering our commitment to empowering our club members through sports, education, and mentorship," said Megan Keating, Boys and Girls Club Director of Development. "This collaboration will provide club members with unique opportunities to engage with the Bogeys players and develop their skills in baseball. We are excited and thankful to the Bogeys for offering this opportunity to our club members."
Players from the team will also hold weekly fun filled instructional practices that will teach club members fundamentals and skills to enhance their game. The practices will take place at the Southern Pines Boys and Girls Club location and at the Sandhills Community College location, home of Bogeys Ballpark.
"The Bogeys are deeply committed to the Sandhills community and its youth, and this partnership truly embodies that commitment." said Bogeys General Manager Jay Francis, "We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of baseball and create lifelong memories on the field. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills."
During multiple home games this season the Bogeys will hold 50/50 raffles to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Club. Opening night on May 29, at 7 p.m. will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Sandhills.
